Sunderland are reported to have agreed a fee of £2.5 million fee with Brighton for winger Will Buckley.

Buckley has been signed by Gus Poyet before, when the manager of Brighton he brought the player to the Amex Stadium for a bargain fee of £1 million from Watford.

Now there is a good chance that the pair could join up again, although West Brom, who face the Black Cats at the Hawthorns this weekend are also still interested.

Should Sunderland sign the 24 year old, he will follow Jack Rodwell, Billy Jones, Jordi Gomez, Costel Pantilimon and Patrick van Aanholt into the club.

I know little about thos lad but Gus must know what he’s doing, he doesn’t seem to be a manager who sorts out jobs for his mates unless they can play.

We don’t have many wide natural wide players, he will come in handy. Gus knows what he is doing.
