Sunderland continue to be linked with player after player, a number from South America too. The latest is Gino Peruzzi.
The Velez Sarsfield “starlet” has apparently revealed a Sunderland offer with their general manager, strangely former Newcastle man Christian Bassedas, saying the 21-year-old will be leaving the club.
Should Sunderland pull this off it would be something of a coup as the Argentina international has some pedigree, with him the cousin of former Italian international Angelo Peruzzi his Italian heritage would enable him to gain a European passport, therefore he’d not need a work permit.
