There’s no shortage of players linked with Sunderland these days, and among them is a constant stream of midfielders.
Latest on this list is Manuel Fernandes.
The 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder is no stranger to the Premier League having enjoyed loan spells with both Portsmouth and Everton previously before a £12m fee took him to Valencia who eventually sold him off to Besiktas.
Currently Fernandes, who is a good footballer, is still with the Turkish club but is moving into the final year of his contract and this could see Sunderland make a move in the hope of securing him a little cheaper than they might have ordinarily expected to?
