You Can Stick Your Clean Sheets……

Where do I start?

We were simply fantastic today and deserved to stuff the champions of England by a three goal margin.

The odds of that result happening were 250/1 and we should have won by more, the simple truth of the matter was that Sunderland totally outclassed and outplayed Chelsea live for millions to see.

Chelsea entered the game complacent after beating Sunderland 7-2 last time and had a record of nine consecutive clean sheets at home. One more clean sheet from their best ever defensive record before Onouha, Gyan and Welbeck arrived at Stamford Bridge.

Sunderland made two changes with Welbeck and Bardsley replaced Riveros and Ferdinand as Bruce went with an attacking 4-4-2 formation to upset the current league leaders.

After 24 games of waiting it was worth all the heartache and pain to see Sunderland cruise to an easy victory at Stamford Bridge.

Bruce said: ‘It’s not often you beat this lot 3-0 in their back yard,’ said Bruce. It won’t happen very often again. We really took it to them. The players have been fantastic over the last two weeks and I’m very proud of the performance.

‘People are so frightened coming here and no one wants to get humiliated, so we thought we’d give it a go. But you still need the players to perform, like Welbeck, at 19, who was terrific.

‘All round, they all produced a fantastic performance. I hope people talk about Sunderland rather than Chelsea’s poor performance. It’s not a fluke.’

The opening goal from Nedum Onuoha was simply world-class as he skipped past four defenders before beating Cech for the first time since March.

Once Sunderland opened the scoring they continued to press Chelsea and created chance after chance with the sublime Danny Welbeck finding space and time for most offensive moves for the North East club.

Steve Bruce could not believe his luck as his team improved on their first half with a wonderfully crafted second goal for Gyan.

Gyan finished with aplomb as he sent the ball past Cech for his 4 goal in 3 games. He sent the whole of Wearside wild with his dance moves as Sunderland realised they were not only beating the champions but dominating the whole game.

By the time that Ashley ‘thinking too much about Geordie Cheryl’ Cole passed it too Welbeck, Sunderland were home and dry to make it a day to remember.

Lest we forget.

And we never will after one of the performances and results of the season.

You lot should be very proud of your team tonite. I have not seen CHELSEA given a beating like that in several years. Let alone on their own turf. Well done and very well played.

I really did not expect any more than 1 point from the 2 games away to Spurs & Chelsea, but my Slovac friend Peter (an Arsenal supporter) kept saying… ‘You can go sixth if you beat Chelsea. WOW He was right. I hope we beat Everton next and Fulham beat Mancini and we are on equal points with the big spenders. I cannot wait for MOTD2 to see it in HD and record it to watch OVER and OVER.

A wonderful team performance. I think their best man was Jerkoff and maybe that is what Chelsea had been doing in preparation for this game.

Well done Wellbeck!!! Well done everyone. They wore the shirts with pride. A pity Wellbeck & Onuoha are just on loan. They would make perfect team players for the future. No Man City player is playing with the passion of Onuoha at the moment. He did a marvellous job on Gareth Bale at Spurs and today was just perfect doing a Messi to tip toe through the Chelsea defence and give us a truly deserved half time lead.

Thank you kindly Sunderland players for retoring my pride as a supporter. The best performance I have ever seen from a Sunderland team.

Great comment ZaX…… One the proudest moments after a lot of pain over a 24 year period of supporting my club today.

Good for you Zax, but why have a pop at City? Can’t you just enjoy your win without those needless comments?

Sunderland were awesome and certainly took the Chelsea monkey of your manager’s back. Big Bruce had the biggest smile I think I have ever seen him with.
