It’s being reported this afternoon that Crystal Palace and Sunderland have come to an agreement over Jonny Williams.

With the 23 year old Welsh international currently on international duty, Sky Sports are reporting that following talks between both clubs, agreement has been reached on a season long loan and the player is now headed to Sunderland for a medical having been given permission by Chris Coleman to leave their training camp.

Having struggled for first team opportunities at Palace in recent years, the talented youngster certainly hasn’t been helped by a spate of injuries and with him yet to make an appearance for Frank de Boer, it makes all the sense in the world for him to get more regular action with Simon Grayson’s side.

Presumably this one will be over the line in the next few hours, and Wales expect him to rejoin their camp ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Austria on Saturday.

Little harsh, he looked extremely impressive for Palace when given a chance under former managers and whilst with Ipswich to be fair. Think he’ll do well for you BWT.
