The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

A weekend of action kicked off with promotion rivals Sheffield United and Bristol City meeting at Bramall Lane on Friday. The Blades were perhaps hard done by but it was the Robins who went away with a late winner scored to prove Lee Johnson’s side are a genuine promotion candidate.

Saturday’s games saw Aston Villa fail to close the gap on the automatic promotion chasing sides when held at home by Millwall.

Meanwhile, Championship leaders Wolves will be disappointed at two points dropped against struggling Sunderland, who will certainly be happy with a goalless draw at Molineux.

The other struggling sides, Burton and Bolton, were beaten by Preston and Nottingham Forest, respectively.

Here’s a round up of the Championship results with one game to take place.
