The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played over midweek.

A first Barnsley win was collected when the Tykes ended the 100% record of Nottingham Forest. Brentford also gained a first point, which would have been all three but for a Bristol City fightback at Griffin Park.

It’s now three in a row for Cardiff, keeping Neil Warnock’s side at the top of the Championship table. The Bluebirds’ win over Sheffield United means these three successive victories to start the season is the first time ever this has happened.

The KCOM Stadium’s five goal thriller was edged by Wolves when seeing off Hull 3-2. However, seven goals were shared at Millwall when Ipswich left the Den with a 4-3 win over the Den.

Reading won for a first time leaving Aston Villa still seeking one of their own as the early season struggles continued at the Madejski Stadium.

Wednesday evening saw two games played as Norwich recorded a first win of the season when ending QPR’s unbeaten start to the campaign at Carrow Road.

Sheffield Wednesday remain without a win when held by Sunderland, yet to suffer defeat, at Hillsborough.

Here’s a round-up of the Championship results.
