Vaughan On Bruce’s Radar?

Whenever Blackpool are the topic of conversation, Charlie Adam is often at the centre of it. The Scottish playmaker has undoubtedly been a big part of the Seasiders` success this season, but it can be argued that David Vaughan is more important.

Vaughan, 28, is the engine room of the Blackpool midfield, always linking defence to attack. At 5`7, he doesn`t fit the typical mould of a central midfield anchorman. But, despite this, the Welshman isn`t afraid to put his foot in and never shirks from doing the team`s dirty work.

The Wales international also possesses a wonderful left foot and has a great range of passing. With his contract up at the end of the season, Vaughan is keeping his options open. If Steve Bruce could secure his services on a free, then it would be fantastic business for Sunderland.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway will be doing his utmost to convince the midfielder that his future is at Bloomfield Road. He said: “He is a super little player. So now one of my priorities is trying to persuade him to stay.”
