Sunderland`s bid for Ahmed Al-Muhammadi looks to have hit a snag with Egyptian club ENPPI demanding more money.

Initially a loan deal had been agreed according to sources but now the club have decided that they want cash upfront rather than the original loan deal.

This has now sparked heavy interest from newly promoted club West Brom, who are willing to match ENPPI`s estimation for the Egyptian who has been capped 38 times for his national side.

Steve Bruce knows all about him and has been unfortunate with attempts of signing Al-Muhammadi, last year he tried to sign him after a very successful trail at the Academy of Light and again during the winter transfer window.

We will keep all Vital Sunderland readers updated as this transfer saga rages on through the summer transfer window…
