The Waiting Game

Sunderland are now playing the “waiting game” in their efforts to secure the signing of Gino Peruzzi.

A fee has been agreed with his club Velez Sarsfield, and terms pretty much agreed, but the 21-year-old needs to fly to Wearside to complete these talks and undergo what should be the formality of a medical.

This was all expected to have been done by now but a delay means that it’ll be the weekend before the Black Cats can conclude the signing of the Argentina international. However, it does seem almost certain that he’ll be a Sunderland player this season!
