Sunderland will be facing a strong Manchester United side in the Capital One Cup semi final.

David Moyes was caught out with resting players in the FA Cup and paid the price by being beaten at home by Swansea City.

Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and David de Gea are all set to return having sat out the Swansea defeat as Moyes looks to put his latest mistake behind him and do his level best to reach Wembley for the League Cup final.

Moyes will be hoping for more of the same after he remembers that United have already won once at the Stadium of Light this season thanks to a brace from wonder kid Adnan Januzaj.

‘We need to get back to winning ways and be hard to play against,’ Moyes told reporters.

‘Most importantly, we need to take something out of the good play we have had in games.

‘It has been a tough start. I am disappointed we have not won more games but it will change I have no doubt about that.

‘My job is to find a way of winning. It doesn’t matter what style you have to find a way of winning.’

United have already knocked Premiership opposition out of the cup in the shapes of Norwich, Liverpool and Stoke City.
