Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy has penned a new deal at the Stadium of Light. Murphy`s new deal will keep the young Irish man at the club until 2012.
A delighted Murphy told safc.com “It`s pleasing, I`ve always wanted to stay here and it`s nice to get the extension.
“It` a big club, the supporters are great and we`re going in the right direction. It`s a different club to the one I joined three years ago.”

Murphy has improved vastly since first joining the club if he could only become more clinical in front of goal he could be awesome.
