Sunderland Reserves were beating by Manchester City Reserves last night.

Sunderland had experienced players in Graham Kavanagh (playing 60 minutes) and Ian Harte (playing the full 90 minutes) in the starting line up.

City scored first when Ched Evans`s shot was deflected pass Carson, Evans then went on to get City`s second of the game, he ran on to Grimes through ball to tuck it past Carson.

Billy Dennehy then pulled one back for Sunderland when his 20-yard screamer flew in.

Manchester City`s young striker Ched Evans ended Sunderland`s fight back when he got a well-deserved hatrick.

The Reserves were beaten but it was nice to see Harte coming through a full game, which means he won`t be far away in fitness terms.

Kav must either be carrying an injury or he is due to be involved in this weekends visit to North Yorkshire (Boro). I would like to see him involved because he is a quality player who gets stuck in.

Looking at the reserves it just goes to show how many injuries our squad has. I hope we get a few of our players back soon as we are really down to the bear bones.

Bad result just hope we don’t get anymore injuries or these young kids could be in the first team. I think it was more about fittness for Harte and Kav

Lets see who’s injured Edwards, Varga, Cole, ……? is there anymore

  • Macka says:

Anderson, Richardson, (Halford er nope just wishful thinking) and Whitehead of course. I think Kav has a thigh injury I’ve just checked it out.

Yeah Halford isn’t very good, he gives the ball away to easily and has the look more of a basketball player rather than a footballer.
