Sunderland Manager Rue`s Misses

Sunderland manager Roy Keane was disappointed his side dropped two points when they should come away with all three in the Wear Tyne derby.

Keane told Sky Sports “It was a disappointing goal to concede. Then again, every goal you concede you’re always going to be disappointed”

“We had the chances to win the game, and in the Premiership if you don’t take the chances they come back to haunt you and that is what happened.

‘I think Sam will probably be slightly happier than me.”

“We didn’t have that little bit of luck, and there was some poor finishing. We can talk all day about being unlucky, but the players had the chances.”

“We keep getting these lessons in the Premiership – if you don’t take the chances you’re going to concede.”

“But in terms of performance and the attitude of the players, I thought we were different class, and if we keep performing like that we will have a good season.”

We need to start and turn these good performances in to points if we are to have any chance of playing Premiership football next season.
