Sunderland`s Trinidad and Tobago duo Carlos Edwards and Kenwyne Jones could both miss this weekends fixture against West Ham.

Both players were withdrawn from T&T`s international squad for their friendly against Jamaica Jones with a virus and Edwards a groin injury

Trinidad and Tobago are now looking to FIFA to take action over the improper denial of players after Sunderland Physio Keith Friar deemed Carlos Edwards groin injury too slight to show up on MRI scans for an independent assessment.

If action is taken FIFA could be ban both players from playing or training for the date of the international fixture in question and five days afterwards.

Vital Sunderland Says

This is devastating news for our survival fight for both of the players in question could be the difference between us beating West Ham and not beating them.

I honestly don’t think it is that bad. Yes, it would onvioulsy be great for them to be available but if the worst did happen then at least we miss them for the game without them having to travel around the globe for a pointless friendly and they would be rested up for the next game. Does anyone know when a decision is made on this? There can’t be much time to do it?
