It was a game of two half`s for Sunderland the first half was terrible but the second half was much better.

Sunderland struggled to get going in the first half after around 10 minutes Fulham should have been in front. Danny Higginbotham`s terrible pass across field should have been punished by David Healy.

Fulham finally broke the deadlock when Kevin Davies curled his third free kick of the game into the top corner.

Sunderland deserved to be behind after a dismal first half display but they played a lot better in the second half.

After the break Greg Halford got sent off for his second bookable offence.

It was starting to look like the writing was on the wall when Kamara scored luckily for Sunderland it was ruled out.

Then a ten man Sunderland finally started to play. Grant Leadbitter should have scored the equaliser when he got on the end of one of Jones`s flicks but his strike was hard and low and straight at Niemi.

Sunderland then got the goal their pressure deserved as Jones rose to head home a Leadbitter cross.

Sunderland then should have won the game when Stokes found himself through on goal. However the young striker hit his shot straight at Niemi and failed to control the rebound.

Match Comment
Yet another game that we started slowly, we allowed the opposition to get their noses in front again before we started to pressurise them.

We seem to like doing things the hard way, when are ever we going to learn?

In my opinion both Halford and Higginbotham had shockers, Keane must look to strengthening the defence in the transfer window.

Hope so it will be hard considering the games we have coming up

Still not worried about the drop personally, we arent playing badly – just making bad mistakes in defence. Getting Evans back in Jan along with another couple of good defenders and our injured midfield trio of Carlos, Deano and Richardson and we will be more than a match for most teams (especially at home). It is just frustrating at the moment.

You really need to be winning these games if you are not to be in the relegation dogfight.
