Roy Keane surprised us again with his team selection against Wigan with both Nosworthy and Kavanagh the surprise players to start the game.
With Jones and Chopra out injured Sunderland started the game with possibly their most inexperienced and toothless forward line with Murphy and Waghorn starting instead.
If that wasn`t enough they were fed on scraps as we failed to create or supply any decent balls during the whole of the game.
Sunderland were consistent in the defending department with them gifting Wigan with two easy goals.
The first goal came from a Wigan freekick, Skoko`s ball found Scharner for a free header past Gordon.
Wigans second was a comedy of errors debutant Evans lost the ball just outside the box to Aghahowa and with McShane trying to clear the danger his clearance turned in to an unstoppable shot past Gordon.
Wigan`s third was scored by Cotterill his strike been the only one with any real quality and then he should have been closed down faster than he was.

The game itself was terrible it wasn`t worth the freezing we got watching it.
