West Brom and Crystal Palace both had the chance of ending Sunday above Sunderland in the league, but both failed to do so.

In the afternoon’s early kick off West Brom managed to fight back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with high flying Liverpool, which in itself was not a bad result given how Liverpool have been playing of late.

Later in the day, Crystal Palace went to Arsenal and they were beaten by Arsene Wenger’s side 2-0 although they did manage to keep the score goalless until half time.

The results meant that West Brom pulled themselves above Palace into 16th place with 23 points, Palace are one place behind on goal difference.

Sunderland are one point and two places above in 14th with the same number of points as Swansea, Hull and Norwich.

And the next game is against Hull.
