Scocco Leaves For Newell’s Old Boys

Striker Ignacio Scocco has signed for his former club Newell’s Old Boys for £2.3 million.

The 29-year-old proved to be something of a flop on Wearside after he was brought in to score the goals to help the Black Cats stay up.

The club did stay up, but Scocco only made eight appearances and scored zero goals.

His former club concluded the deal on Wednesday after chasing him for a number of weeks.
