SAFC Move For Foreign Duo

Sunderland have this afternoon moved for Inter’s Sulley Muntari & PSG’s Stephane Sessegnon, according to various sources.

Both moves would be initial loan deals and boss, Steve Bruce has moved quickly to strengthen a side who have lost both David Meyler & Danny Welbeck for several weeks.

Muntari in particular may find the club attractive as his Ghanian teammates Asamoah gyan and John Mensah are already playing at the Stadium of Light.

If these moves do come off, and Steve Bruce manages to shore up his midfield with this sort of quality, maybe the club can indeed begin to dream of European football in the near future.

Muntari is a hell of a player and would offer the alternative when Welbeck goes back and the Sessegnon looks like a real talent in the middle, great if we get them.

Good source says Sessegnon is on his way over for talks and the Muntari deal is close to completion but another foreign club may be interested. Also we are thiking about making a move for another centre midfielder.

good stuff thank ***** for Quinns business connections or we’d be looking at using the under 18’s to dig us out of trouble

Trouble? You’re in 6th place, above both Scouse teams, the Geordies and the Villa – not exactly in trouble! Much as I detest Steve bruce for his past connections, I’d say he’s doing a pretty good job for you. Hell, you will probably make Europa League next season if you buy well in this window and maintain your momentum. Good luck.
