The original game was due to be played on 28th December but was called off only hours before kick off due to a frozen pitch, after most Sunderland fans had already made the trip down.
As a way of apologising Rovers have offered to pay for the cost of travel for away supporters using the official Sunderland coaches for the journey down to the re-scheduled game on 15th February.
Sunderland chief executive Peter Walker told the official club site: ‘This is a great gesture from Blackburn Rovers to our supporters and they do genuinely hope that as many fans as possible take advantage of the offer’.
Supporters wishing to obtain a coach ticket must get one in advance from the Stadium of Light ticket office.
