Loanee Danny Rose has revealed he is keen to make his loan move to Sunderland permanent after making his debut on Saturday.

The 22 year-old left-back impressed on his debut against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, keeping Raheem Sterling quiet for much of the game.

Speaking to The Sunderland Echo afterwords, the England U21 international revealed he was eager to turn his loan move into a permanent one if the opportunity arose.

“If there was a chance that I could move here permanently, I`d snatch it with both hands,’ admitted the Tottenham loanee.

“Nothing has been said of that kind. I`m just here on loan for the season and anything after that would be a bonus.

“The gaffer just asked me to come here on loan and said I`d play more games here than I would at Spurs which is right.’

Rose was withdrawn after 72 minutes to be replaced by Fraizer Campbell, but the Leeds United academy graduate had already made an excellent first impression in front of the Sunderland faithful for the first time.
