Sunderland AFC confirmed today that Cristian Riveros will be loaned out for 12 months to Turkish club Kayserispor.
Riveros, who only made 14 appearances for Sunderland in a very slow debut season in England, will join for the start of their season and hopefully be signed full time if he impresses during his loan period.
Steve Bruce said: ‘Cristian wants to play regular football and hopefully he will be able to do so in Turkey. We wish him all the best.’
It is a shame to see him leave after such a sorry opening spell, it was thought he may be given another chance by Bruce but with the signings of Gardner and hopefully Gibson, he has decided to send him away to improve his first team chances.
