Utility man Kieran Richardson looks set to become the latest Sunderland player to be moved on this summer as Martin O’Neill trims his squad.
The 27 year-old who can play at left-back or left-midfield is set to join Premier League newcomers West Ham United.
Richardson is believed to be close to sealing a £2.5m switch to the east London side with various sources reporting the move.
The former Manchester United and West Brom man has been unable to pin down a regular position in the side since O’Neill’s appointment but has still featured on a regular basis despite not specializing in once specific position.
Since arriving from Old Trafford in a £5.5m deal in 2007, Richardson has gone on to make over 130 firs-team appearances as a Black Cat.
Another man close to sealing his SoL exit is defender Marcos Angeleri.
On July 6, the forgotten-man of Wearside tweeted ‘resolviendo el futuro’,(not hard to translate), and is expected to sign for Argentinian outfit Estudiantes in the near future.
