Utility man Kieran Richardson is one of the players that Martin O’Neill would be prepared to listen to offers for in order to increase his budget.

The 27 year-old cost Sunderland £5.5m in 2007 when Roy Keane brought his former team-mate to Wearside from Manchester United.

Despite being a regular when fit, the left-sided player is now entering the final year of his contract and could be moved on in order to raise funds.
Former England international Richardson has been linked with West Ham and Everton over the off-season but QPR are also understood to be interested in him.

Richardson, born in London, would prefer a return to the capital if the opportunity comes along, leaving O’Neill eager to re-coup as much of the fee paid for him five years ago as possible.
