Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was more than a little annoyed as key decisions went against his side in the 0-0 draw at home to West Brom on Saturday.

The draw was the Black Cats’ 13th of the season and now the club sit just three points above the relegation zone and looking like they will have to get ready for another survival fight.

What didn’t help on Saturday was that referee Mike Jones decided to book defender Joleon Lescott for a foul on Danny Graham which was worthy of a red all day long.

And then there was the goal from Adam Johnson that the official ruled out for offside.

The Uruguayan told reporters: “I`ll take that one. It hurts because it was a goal, but I`ll take it. But the first one, no. The first one was a straightforward red card.”

Totally out of luck with the goal, he looked level on the TV, the booking could have gone either way, ours if the ref had been watching properly

No, apparently everyone has got it wrong, Lescott says so. He wouldn’t tell fibs

What we have to ask ourselves is, would we have been able to win it with a man more on the field? I don’t think so.
