Every club in the Premier League aspires to unearth, develop or sign a guaranteed 20 goals a season kind of striker but they are always in short supply.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku became the newest addition to that list when he took his tally to 21 goals so far in the top flight in 2016/17 with his brace ahead of the international break against Hull City.
With him replacing Gary Lineker in Everton’s history books as the last person to hit 20+ (1985/86) the Daily Star did the legwork on pulling together the details of the last player for each club to hit 20 based on the current make up of the Premier League.
For the younger fan I imagine some names will be lost on them ‘who’, whereas for those with a few more miles under their belts it’ll be more of a case of ‘oh yeah, what happened to them?’.
In any event, it’s an international break and they bore me to tears and it’s better than walking the streets drunk…here you go.
