Liam Bridcutt went to Leeds United on Thursday and went straight into the side that faced Queen’s Park Rangers.

And although Bridcutt couldn’t help his new team mates to a win as they went down 1-0 at Loftus Road, with the only goal coming from the boot of Charlie Austin with his first touch of the game in the 58th minute.

But despite the disappointment of a defeat, Leeds manager Steve Evans was full of praise for the midfielders efforts.

Evans told the club’s official website: “There was a little bit of rustiness at times when he overran the ball and maybe a little bit sloppy at times when he gave it away and got caught the odd time.

“But I think the two best players for me were the boys who have not played for a long time in Charlie Taylor and Liam Bridcutt.”
