Poyet Unhappy With Questioning Fans

Boss Gus Poyet is not too happy with some Sunderland fans who openly criticised his decision to replace Adam Johnson in the game against Liverpool.

Boss Gus Poyet is not too happy with some Sunderland fans who openly criticised his decision to replace Adam Johnson in the game against Liverpool.

Poyet took off top scorer Johnson and replaced him with youngster Mikael Mandron which we have to admit, did not seem like the move of someone who wanted to get back into the game.

But Poyet has had a go back at the fans, claiming that some do not have a clue, not the first time he has criticised fans for criticising him.

He told the Chronicle: ‘I don’t care what they think because if Mika scores you do not ask me that question (about whether the substitution should have been made).

‘It is very easy when the game is over. I think it was the right decision. It was at the point where he (Johnson) could not go past people because he was so tired.’
