England’s ‘too nice’ attitude towards the games will see them come unstuck against teams like Uruguay in the Wold Cup says Sunderland boss Gus Poyet.

The two countries meet in the second game of group D at the World Cup finals and the game is an important one which could well decide who goes through to the final stages.

And former Uruguay international Poyet admits his countrymen will do whatever it takes to get past England on June 19th.

Poyet told reporters: ‘Whatever it is, to stop you, to win the game, we do that and we are proud of that.

‘We will play that game. We won’t accept that you are better than us. I won’t accept that you are better than me.

‘If you’re better than me, I will find a way to stop you – I’m not going to accept you’re better than me because if I do, I lose.’
