Costel Pantilimon could be on his way out of the Stadium of Light as according to reports, there is interest both at home and abroad.

The Northern Echo website say that there has been interest in the former Manchester City goalkeeper from Watford and Spanish outfit Espanyol.

There have been rumours that Pantilimon could be on his way for some time what with manager Sam Allardyce making big noises about bright young keeper Jordan Pickford who recently made his first team debut.

Since Jordan returned from Preston where he has been earning a reputation of being a fine keeper, Pantilimon has not even managed to get a place on the bench on match days.

And with Big Sam rating Pickford so highly, he has no qualms about selling Pantilimon on and using the cash to strengthen the side in other departments.
