Bolton have just missed their game tonight due to the snow postponing the game at The Emirates and could possibly miss the trip to the North East also on Saturday.

The Stadium of Light officials have said: ‘The Stadium of Light pitch has both undersoil heating and covers and is therefore presently playable.’

‘Naturally, however, our priority would be for the safety of Sunderland and Bolton fans travelling to the game in difficult conditions.

‘We will continue to monitor weather over the coming days and liaise with Northumbria Police should we have any concerns.’

Sunderland may see this as a lucky break with the amount of injuries we currently have in the starting eleven. However, it may force a fixture pile up later in the season if this game is cancelled.

The safety of the travelling supporters coming from Bolton and around the Country to watch the game is paramount and if anything is announced we will be there to inform immediately.
