The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Grimsby Town and Sunderland’s Under 23 side this Wednesday in the EFL Trophy.

Sunderland’s Under 23s travel to Grimsby Town on Wednesday November 8 for the EFL Trophy tie at Blundell Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Scott Oldham
Assistant Refs: Duncan Street and Stephen Wade
Fourth Official: Wayne Grunnill

Match Day referee Oldham has officiated 15 games in 2017/18, showing 36 yellow cards and two red cards.

He took in 18 games in 2016/17 with a return of 49 yellow cards and zero red cards in his first year in the National League and this season sees him new to the Football League.

His highest card count that year was six yellow cards and he showed six on two occasions.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
