Paraguayan midfielder Cristian Riveros has joined Turkish side Kayserispor for an undisclosed fee.
The former Cruz Azul midfielder joined the Black Cats in the summer of 2010 but failed to make an impact before heading out on loan.
Having helped Kayserispor to an 11th place finish in the Turkish Super Lig, Riveros has completed a permanent move to Shota Arveladze’s side.
The 29 year-old made just 14 appearances as a Black Cat.
