Sunderland winger Ahmed Elmohamady has been re-united with Steve Bruce, the man who brought him to England, in signing for Hull City on a season-long loan.

The 24 year-old Egyptian right-back-cum-right-winger initially arrived in the summer of 2010 on loan from Egyptian side ENPPI before making the move permanent the following summer for £2m.

Elmohamady will now move to Humberside on a season-long loan to link up with his former boss at the KC Stadium.

However after Bruce was sacked last December, Elmohamady saw his game time limited under Martin O’Neill.

An Egyptian international, Elmohamady had sought clarification on his role at the club and with interest from West Ham and Hull City, a move away from the Stadium of Light always looked on the cards.

There is a re-call clause in the deal for January, should Sunderland be suffering an injury crisis.

Good luck Elmo!
