Defender Blair Adams has today (Thursday) joined Coventry City on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell.
The 21 year-old left-back had been on-loan at the Ricoh Arena since November, making 15 appearances for the Sky Blues and has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Speaking to the Official Coventry Site, boss Mark Robins spoke of his delight at the deal:
“He has proven capable of playing at a consistent level and he will, I am sure, be an asset to us.
“He also has the personal qualities I am looking for in players I recruit.’
Adams extended his loan with Robins’ side earlier in the month, making him eligible for two important clashes, but has now committed his future to the Midlands outfit on a permanent basis.
Born in South Shields, Adams had previously been on-loan in the Football League with Brentford and Northampton Town.
During his three years as a professional at the Stadium of Light, Adams failed to make a senior appearance for the Black Cats.
Good luck, Blair!
