Nyron Nosworthy has rejoined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the 2010/11 season.

The defender spent the second half of the season at the club and proved to be a popular character during his 19 appearances.

Sheffield united boss was more than pleased to get his man after his successful loan period.

He told sufc.co.uk ‘We made no secret of the fact that we were looking for defenders, and that Nyron was a high priority of ours.

‘Whilst we were – and still are – monitoring other alternatives, he fits the bill in every way, not least because we know what he can do and he fitted in well.

‘He is a strong individual with bags of experience and he desperately wants to do well for this club because he knows the potential we have.’

Nosworthy was signed by Sunderland in 2005 by Mick McCarthy and made 124 apparences for the club.
