Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce is looking to add to his squad this week.

On Wednesday Sunderland travel to Swansea for what the Black Cats boss describes as a ‘relegation nine-pointer”, just the same as the Aston Villa game which they managed to win.

Sunderland have to turn there results around if they are to escape the drop this time around and by the time they face the Swans they are hoping to have international clearance for their new addition from Bayern Munich, Jan Kirchoff.

And with a defender and a striker high up on his shopping list, Big Sam hopes to have another player added to his squad before the Welsh trip.

“We`ll have somebody coming this week,” he said to the Chroniclelive website.

And when asked if the game could be best described as a nine pointer Sam added: “It`s definitely a nine-pointer for either team. They can pull away from us if they win, and we can get closer to them if we win.

“It`ll be just as big a game as the Aston Villa game was for us last week.’
