Speaking today to the official website www.safc.com Nedum Onouha spoke of how impressed he was with everyone in training today.

Sunderland face a difficult trip to their bogey team Everton this weekend and Nedum is sure they can come back with some points if they keep up the same level as they shown in training.

Onouha said: ‘Everyone feels refreshed and ready to go again. The level of intensity in training today shows people are ready to get back into it now.

‘Maybe the break came at the right time with us losing three games without playing too badly. Now it’s time to come back in and we’re ready to go.

‘Like I said we’ve not been playing that badly but that only makes the run only more frustrating.

‘We’re going into the games and doing alright, which maybe would have won us more games earlier on in the season but now we’re coming away with nothing.

‘That’s just the nature of football.’

Nedum, who will only play the remaining ten games, barring any injury or suspension is hopeful of a strong finish.

He added: ‘There’s nothing to lose between now and the end of the season; it’s just a case of picking up as many points as possible and seeing where we finish.’
