Meyler Injury Boost

It is believed that David Meyler may not have torn his cruciate ligament after all and may be back in a matter of weeks and not months.

Meyler twisted his knee badly against Aston Villa on Wednesday and a reoccurance of his previous ACL injury was feared but it is now thought a scan will reveal only medial ligament damage which will heal sooner.

Danny Welbeck will miss 3/4 weeks after receiving a grade 1 hamstring tear.
