Keane Stokes his transfer fire…

Anthony Stokes is the man at the top of Keane’s wishlist, with Giuseppe rossi and Nicky Butt also said to be attracting the big man’s attention.

The Arsenal frontman is on loan at Falkirk and has bagged 13 goals in 13 games. His loan expires in January and Keane, along with a host of other Championship clubs, are interested in bringing him along to play at a higher level.

Somewhat daftly, Stokes was on trial on Wearside during the summer while Lord Quinn was in charge, only Disco Pants deemed him no better than what we had. I.e Kevin Kyle, Jon Stead and Chris Brown. Aren’t we glad that it’s Roy Keane in charge now.

Meanwhile, highly rated young’un Giuseppe Rossi, currently pulling up no trees at Newcastle, is set to be hauled back to Manchester by a fuming Fergie, who does not appreciate the lack of chances he’s been given on Tyneside, especially considering their current state of affairs.

Another Mag not exactly setting the world alight is England World Cup 2002 hero Nicky Butt, who has also been in touch with the Sunderland manager. Whether this is simply down to the fact they are old chums and remain close, or because Keane fancies bringing him and his wacking big wages to the Championship, will soon be known.

The countdown to Keano’s January transfer bonanza madness continues…
