Roy Keane was far from satisfied with Sunderland`s performance against the Irons.
Keane told Sunderland`s official site
“We were lacking a bit of sharpness”
“It was not for the lack of trying but when you start a game like we did and you go a goal down after two minutes, no matter who the opposition is it is going to be a long afternoon”
“If we do that in the premier league, it`s going to be a long season”
“We need to start a bit quicker, that`s the only thing I would be really critical of. Overall, I`m disappointed, I don`t like losing.”
I don`t blame Keane for being disappointed we should be beating team`s from the Championship.
A club the size of Sunderland should be wining games like these and it is worrying we are not. Let`s just hope it`s a preseason glitch and we are firing on all cylinder`s come the start of the season.
