Both Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson scored for their National U21 team tonight against Denmark.

The game, which took place at the Viborg Stadium in Viborg was a good chance for Welbeck to regain fitness and another great chance for Hendo to show Cappello what he is made of.

Welbeck got off to a great start with a 14th minute left foot strike. The Manchester United loanee got on the end of a poor header to lash the ball past Lossl.

As the game wore on, England showed their class and dominance by adding another two goals before Henderson got the final goal of the evening.

Henderson showed his pace by beating the defender and slipping the ball under the keeper very calmly.

The youngsters give the England team hope. They’re very good and there’s a lot more cohesion than that of the senior national squad. Hopefully, when they take that step up into the national squad they wont be taking orders from a plum which is seemingly becoming the trend. It’s great to see Welbeck getting on the score sheet, he has really developed whilst at Sunderland.
