Sunderland may have to look elsewhere for a new right back after Tottenham told the club they may have to pay around £9M for his services.

Hutton has been a revelation for SAFC since his loan move from Spurs in January and boss Steve Bruce was hoping to land the Scot for around £5-6M.

Meanwhile, Chairman Niall Quinn said there has been a “colossal” response in season card sales from supporters. Quinn has said that his aim is to reach 40,000 season ticket holders.

News in Brief:
-SAFC will play Leicester City at the Walkers Stadium on July 31st as part of their pre-season preparations.

If there is one thing Tottenham like to do it’s sell high. They almost always buy high too but Chairman Levy seems to derive enormous joy from squeezing the last million or two out of a club buying his player.

We were not expecting any favours from Saggy chops and the board down South anyway.

Considering we sold you Bent at a loss, and loaned you Hutton in the first place, not to mention players like Malbranque and Fulop, I’d say that’s being a tad too demanding, moaning about the price tag for Hutton and the Board down South’. What more do you expect Levy to do? Sell you Modric for a bob and a rolling pin?

No but give us a player who has no interest in Spurs for a fair price

  • GazJohnson says:

Aye coz Spurs have been reasonable in the past and ran for every player we have tried for in the last few seasons.
