Asamoah Gyan scored an impressive 13 goals last season in his opening campaign and his manager has asked him for 20 goals this season.
However, Gyan knows this is a tough target but will give his all for Sunderland in a season that hopefully gets them higher than 10th.
Sunderland’s star striker Gyan said on KickOffGhana.com: “I really appreciate Steve Bruce because he has confidence in me and knows what I can do but football is a different thing all together.
“It`s easy to say but I have to prove it on the field.”
“The English league is one of the most difficult leagues in the world and you have to stay on your feet. As I always say if you are not 100 per cent fit you can`t do so well in it.”
Gyan will head to Anfield this weekend as the game was declared safe to play after UK riots threatened to stop all fixtures.
