Sunderland reserve goalkeeper, Marton Fulop has spoken of his desire to become Manchester City’s emergency loan ‘keeper.

Manchester City are struggling for experienced number ones after Shay Given dislocated a shoulder at the weekend and reserve ‘keeper, Stuart Taylor also injured. Faroe Island’s international Gunnar Nielsen, 23 is the only option. City are favourites to land the fourth Champions League spot this season.

Fulop has been strongly linked with a move to City for the final games of the season. The Hungarian is poised to leave Sunderland in the Summer as Steve Bruce pushes the claims of youngster Trevor Carson and will also look to bring in further back up for in form Craig Gordon.

Fulop told SkySports: ‘This is an enormous honour for me that my name has been linked with a club which has such a great history.’

Thai- he’s a very decent keeper..definitely Prem standard and will do a job for you in the last few games.

It won’t happen. If it does we should get Hutton back as we have no regular fit right backs. That won’t happen either and neither should it, the reason we have a squad system is to cope with these eventualities. If the squad is mis managed due to loans to keep players happy that is the fault of the club(s) in question. Spurs are no different than City.

Thanks for the info roker – cheshireyid, read the FA rules mate – Goalkeepers are classed different than outfielders.
