Fulham 1 Sunderland 3

Sunderland got their second away win in successive games to almost secure Premier League football on Wearside next season. Sunderland`s goals came from Collins, Chopra and Jones.

Roy Keane made one change to the side that beat West Ham last weekend with Chopra making way for Edwards.

Fulham dominated most of the first half but thankfully they couldn`t create any meaningful chances.

Danny Collins scored Sunderland`s first goal when he converted a Reid free kick only for it to be ruled out by the officials.

However Collins did get the goal he deserved. Just before the break a deep corner was knocked towards Murphy for the big Irish man to cross. Collins made no mistake and to header home for the second time.

After the break Fulham went for it with Kamara and Bullard both forcing Gordon into good saves.

Sunderland then their scored the second or should I say third goal of the game. Chopra got on the end of a Jones header to chip Keller from about 8 yards out.

With Sunderland in he driving seat Lead bitter unleashed a long range drive, which Keller did well to keep out.

Just as Sunderland were cruising Fulham hit back with substitute Healy curling a delightful shot past Gordon.

Sunderland hit back almost immediately to put the game beyond Fulham. Whitehead bursting in to the box crosses low to Jones. Jones controlled the ball to shoot low and hard past Keller.

Overall a game of end to end action where either team could have won but Sunderland took their chances and Fulham didn`t.

Probably one of our most important wins this season but all credit to Fulham I think the score line flatted us a bit to be honest.
