£10m rated French forward Andre-Pierre Gignac has committed his future to his club Toulouse amid reported interested from Sunderland, Arsenal and Tottenham.

The forward was the top scorer in the French league last season and has been subject to much transfer speculation this summer, with his name apparently amongst those on Steve Bruce’s hitlist.

However, speaking to French magazine L’Equipe he said: ‘I am 300% certain I will be at Toulouse next season.’

Bruce however is expected to tie up the £12m deal to bring Darren Bent to the Stadium of Light today, whilst talks with Marouane Chamakh are believed to be ongoing.

The Black Cats face Peterborough in a friendly tonight, looking to build on an impressive pre-season campaign, which has so far seen convincing wins over both Celtic and Athletico Madrid.
