Is Gus Poyet heading out of Blighty to take up the role of AEK Athens new manager
Former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet may be a target of Aston Villa, but the chances are that he could be working in Greece very soon.
Poyet will be holding more talks with AEK Athens according to the Daily Mirror, even though Villa are rumoured to have his name on the list of managers they would like to talk to after sacking Tim Sherwood at the weekend.
Poyet has been sitting twiddling his thumbs since getting the boot from the Stadium of Light back in March and no doubt he will be wanting to get back into management should the right club become interested.
But AEK are the club making the moves at the moment with the Mirror reporting that he was in Athens for talks over the weekend and is going back for further discussion later this week.
Bet Villa will be really sad about that, certain drop with him in charge
