The Foundation, which is the charity arm of Sunderland AFC, will be running two-day Football Factories, when children can learn the techniques and tactics of football.

Young people aged between 4 and 14 will learn football
skills in sessions tailored to their age groups, and the coaching plans will end with fun tournaments where kids can put their
new-found skills into practice.

The first Football Factory will be held at Castle View,
Sunderland, on Monday and Tuesday 24th and 25th October.

The second session will take place at Park View in
Chester-le-Street on Thursday and Friday 27th and 28th October.
Up to 100 children will have the opportunity to be coached by
SAFC Foundation coaches, including former player Craig Russell.

Craig said: “The Football Factory is a fabulous opportunity
for young people to get involved in football. It’s about
learning and improving your football skills with qualified
coaches- and also having a really fun day with other football
fans!

A two-day course costs £20. To request a booking form or
for further information contact Gemma Snaith on (0191) 5515191.

*The SAFC Foundation is the charity that harnesses the power of
football and uses it to increase the aspirations, educational
attainment and personal skills of young people throughout out great
region.

Over the last year, almost 50,000 children have benefited from
the SAFC Foundation from the Sunderland, South Shields and Durham
areas.
